About Osun Praise

Osun Praise is a significant event organized by the Diocese of Osun Anglican Communion, under the spiritual leadership of the Rt. Rev. Dr Foluso Olugbenga Babatunji, the third bishop since the inception of the diocese. The Diocese of Osun boasts of over 15,000 congregants across the state, with more than 95 parishes and over 130 clergy, dedicated to serving these communities.


Historically, the Diocesan Praise Day was the annual event set aside for worship and adoration throughout the Diocese of Osun. Celebrated for over a decade, this day has featured a variety of choir performances, including Classical Music and Contemporary Genres like Gospel Highlife. it was a day marked by sincere worship and reverence for God Almighty.


In 2023, inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Diocesan Bishop declared that the powerful manifestation of the Holy Spirit experienced during Diocesan Praise Day should be accessible to everyopne in Osun State. Consequently, he announced that future Praise Day celebrations would be held outside the church toallow a broader audience to partake in the joyous experience. The visionary decision ledto the creation of Osun Praise.


Osun Praise is designed as a day of worship and thanksgiving, celebrating God's mercies over the people of Osun State. It is an interdemoninational event that transcends origins, backgrounds, and spiritual inclinations, uniting people in heartfelt gratitude and worship. The Event aims to bridge gaps and bring together the diverse population of Osun State in a collective expression of thanks to God for the year.


The celebration of Osun Praise features ministrations from popular gospel artists across Nigeria, offering pure worship and high praise. Attendees can expect a variety ofspecial performances, including music, dance, comedy, andchoral presentations. Additionally, the event includes moments of prayer and opportunities fordeep spiritual connection with God.


Osun Praise is held annually in the state capital, Osogbo, the the Government Technical College Sport Senter in Oke-Fia. The event begins with the arrival of participants at 4pm, while the main program kicks off at 6pm and continues through the night until 6am. This all-night event promises a rich tapestry of performances andspiritual experiences, making it ahighlight of the year for the people of Osun State.
